1. Introduction

NEYUNA ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and basic skin profile information (skin type, concerns, goals).

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app — check-in history, streak data, product preferences, and feature usage.

Photos: With your explicit consent, we collect progress photos you choose to upload to track your skincare journey. These are stored securely and never shared without your permission.

Device Information: We collect device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting.

Location: If you choose to use your current location, NEYUNA accesses your device's precise coordinates to determine your city and state for local skincare guidance. You can enter your city and state manually instead. NEYUNA stores the city and state with your profile, but does not store your raw coordinates with your profile. When location lookup is used on the web, your coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to determine your city and state. On mobile devices, the operating system's geocoding service processes the coordinates.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To personalise your skincare routine recommendations
• To send you reminders and streak notifications (opt-in)
• To improve our AI recommendations through anonymised aggregate analysis
• To provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share anonymised, aggregate data with partners for research purposes. Cloud infrastructure, authentication, error-monitoring, payment, and notification providers process data only as needed to operate the service.

If you choose current-location lookup on the web, your coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service for reverse geocoding. On mobile, your device's geocoding provider processes the coordinates. NEYUNA receives and stores only the resulting city and state in your profile, not the raw coordinates.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except where legal obligations require longer retention.

6. Your Rights (DPDPA 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Correction — update inaccurate information
• Deletion — request deletion of your data (subject to legal exceptions)
• Grievance Redressal — lodge complaints about data processing

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits.

8. Children's Privacy

NEYUNA is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. During onboarding, users self-report an age range; users who indicate that they are under 18 cannot continue to use the app. Account details may already have been created before this check. If an under-18 user created an account, they or their parent or guardian can contact support@neyuna.com to request account deletion. Age is self-reported and is not independently verified.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
